Nattu Madu (indigenous bulls and cows) are the pride of Tamil Nadu, deeply connected to our agriculture, festivals, and cultural identity. Sadly, many of these animals are abandoned, neglected, or face extinction due to modernization and lack of awareness. Our NGO is committed to rescuing and protecting native cattle, ensuring they are given food, shelter, and medical care, while also promoting their vital role in rural life and tradition.
Shelter, Care, and Well-Being
We provide dedicated shelters for abandoned bulls and cows, where they receive proper nutrition, medical treatment, and safe living conditions. Our team of caretakers and volunteers ensure that these animals are treated with dignity and compassion. By safeguarding their health and welfare, we not only save lives but also preserve an irreplaceable link to Tamil heritage and farming practices.
Reviving Tradition and Community Support
Caring for Nattu Madu is not just about animal welfare—it is about reviving traditions that sustain communities. These cattle play a key role in organic farming, milk preparation, and cultural events such as Jallikattu and Manjuvirattu. Through our initiatives, we encourage villages and families to reconnect with their native breeds, creating sustainable rural livelihoods while keeping Tamil identity alive for future generations.
